The Beyazid Mosque was built by the Ottoman Sultan Beyazid in 1501-1506. The Bayezid Mosque is the second imperial mosque after Fatih Mosque in Istanbul.
According to some modern architects it is the beggining of the classical ottoman architecture. Despite of some required restorations, the mosque achieved to save its original atmosphere and materials. The mosque has two minaretes. The dome is 17 meters.
The mosque is located between the Grand Bazaar and Istanbul University.
