Hidiv Pavilion is located in Beykoz district of Istanbul, on the asian side.
The pavilion was commissioned by the last “Hidiv” (governor of Egypt) Abbas Hilmi Pasha and designed by the Italian architect Delfo Seminati i 1907.
The construction posses art nouveau which was the popular european style of that age. After the Hidiv family moved to Switzerland, the pavilion was puchased by the Turkish government in 1937. The pavilion had been idle for a long time and eventually, it was renovated in 1996 and became a facility fort he public.
Since the Hidiv Pavilion is located by the Bosphorus and has a large garden, it is so popular to spend time for the families. Moreover, the pavilion hots a lot of movie shootings and tv series.
