Karain Cave is located northwest of Antalya, in the Katran Mountains. It was realized that the humans used the cave as a shelter during the prehistoric (Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, and Chalcolithic) ages. Skeletons, processed flintstones, and tools have been discovered in the cave.
The cave consists of spacious chambers separated by calcite walls and connected by narrow and winding corridors. The interior chambers are decorated with stalactites and stalagmites.
