UC SEREFELI MOSQUE

The Ottoman Sultan Murad II. built the Üç Şerefeli Mosque in 1447. The architect is Muslihiddin Aga, who is the master of architect Mimar Sinan.

The mosque has three minarets which were built in different periods.

Üç Şerefeli Mosque is the first rectangular plan Ottoman mosque and has the first outer court, madrasa, library, bath, and garden. It can be said that Üç Şerefeli Mosque is the first classical Ottoman architecture.
