ISTANBUL → BURSA
Day 1 – Arrive in Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul! Where the continents meet.
Meet at Istanbul Airport: Once you arrive at Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport, after the luggage claim, you will be greeted by a Romos Travel Representative at the meeting area.
Transfer to the hotel: You will be taken to your hotel, and after check-in, you will have time for leisure, and the rest of the day is yours.
Overnight stay in Istanbul.
Day 2 – Istanbul Old City Tour
After breakfast, your pick-up will be scheduled for 8:30 am from the hotel to start the Istanbul Old City tour. Our professional tour guide will be introducing the ancient sights of Istanbul.
Today you will explore the following highlights of Istanbul.
Hippodrome: An ancient Roman and Ottoman square where the chariot races were held. Within the square is some Roman remains, Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column, and Constantine Columns.
The Blue Mosque: An Ottoman Imperial mosque built by Sultan Ahmet I in 1609-1616 CE, famous for the blue Ottoman tiles.
Hagia Sophia: Once the largest cathedral of Christianity when it was built in 532-537 CE by the Roman Emperor Justinian; later converted into a mosque by the Ottomans.
Topkapi Palace: The Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II built the palace after the conquest of Constantinople. Topkapi Palace was the home of the royal family and the headquarters for the Ottoman Empire’s administrative center.
Grand Bazaar (Covered Market): The largest and the oldest functioning shopping center in the world. The Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II built the Grand Bazaar in the 15th century. The market consists of 5,000 stores, 66 streets, 24 gates, and much more eye-pleasing architecture. Within the bazaar are many Turkish handicraft stores such as rugs, carpets, kilims, and beautiful Turkish tiles. Upon your request, our guide will be more than happy to help you find your masterpiece of Turkish art.
After the Istanbul Old City sightseeing tour, you will be driven back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 3 – Bursa Tour
After breakfast and check-out, you will be picked up from your hotel, and we shall head on our journey to Bursa.
Firstly we will visit the Grand Mosque, the symbolic Mosque of Bursa, which the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid built-in 1399 CE. The Grand Mosque is the largest central mosque amongst others in Bursa. The Grand Mosque houses one of the unique Ottoman Calligraphies which Sefik Bey wrote. In the inner walls, there are 192 calligraphies in total.
For the next visit, we will head towards The Green Mosque, commissioned by the Sultan Çelebi Mehmet and built by the architect Haci Ivaz Pasha in 1419 CE. The portal at the mosque entrance is the most beautiful sample of Turkish stone carving and has taken many people’s breath away.
We will then visit The Green Tomb; the tomb is octagonal, pointed dome, and specific. The tomb consists of cross vaults that have windows in every corner and sarcophaguses on the floor. The tomb’s tiles are mostly green in color, and they are one of the most beautiful samples of Ottoman art.
Next on the list is Cumalıkızık Village, which is one of the oldest villages in Turkey. The village is located in the South of Bursa and is 700 years old. According to Ottoman archives, Cumalikizik was founded by the Ottoman Sultan Orhan in 1200 CE. The village is keeping the traditional Ottoman architecture and culture alive. Cumalikizik Village was taken under control by the Turkish government to protect its atmosphere in 1980.
After the Bursa sightseeing tour, we will make our way back to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4- Transfer to Airport
