The museum has been open to visitors since 2001 in the Karakoy neighborhood of Istanbul. The museum has been updated with modern technologies. The museum consists of the presentation of 2600 years of the historical and cultural heritage of Turkish Jews in this land, their contributions to the country’s social and state life, the ethnography, and the Midrash, where the religious objects are exhibited.

In the Cultural Center located in the basement and used for temporary exhibitions, periodical exhibitions are frequently held.
